A New Way to Create Geocache Listings

posted May 9, 2012, 8:54 AM by Greg Jewett   [ updated May 9, 2012, 8:55 AM ]
The process of creating a new geocache listing just became easier and more streamlined. It now guides you through each step of submitting a cache. The new online wizard (tool) helps you to identify any potential issues along the way, so you can focus on what's important — creating a well-crafted, easy-to-understand, jaw-dropping cache listing.

The "Submit a New Cache Listing" process is now six steps. You're walked through each step from "Cache Basics," through "Container & Ratings," all the way to "Submit Cache." Helpful tips and information are peppered through the process. The previous "Report a New Cache" tool for submitting a cache listing will remain available for the next few weeks. It links to the new cache submission process for those who want to try it now.

All cache submissions are still reviewed by Groundspeak volunteer reviewers before they are published. Special thanks to the volunteer reviewers and translators for their assistance testing and translating the "Submit a New Cache Listing" tool.

Check out the "New 'Submit a Cache Listing' Wizard" post on the official Geocaching.com blog, Latitude 47, for even more information.
